The History
Shadowboxer boasts a rich family heritage in Australian boxing culture, basing our principles on real 'time in the ring' experience. Shadowboxer’s founder, Paul Todd's father and grandfather were both boxing champions in their own right. Billy Todd held the Welterweight championship during the 50s & pioneered boxing training for Australian Rugby League throughout the 70s. Billy was cut from a similar cloth to his own father, who held the NSW Lightweight Title during the 30s. It’s no wonder that Paul developed a passion for fitness & created products that leveraged the wisdom of several generations.
The ShadowBoxer Brand Is Born
One morning over toast, Paul Todd wondered, “How can I inspire more people to get fit?” His goal was simple: develop products for people who want a focused mind & an active lifestyle. A personal trainer for 25 years, Paul had always listened carefully to his clients. He realised they’d already given him invaluable insight into their likes & dislikes of exercising. All he had to do was incorporate their feedback & his own knowledge & experience into ‘something’.
So with a simple idea, Paul set to work with the support of his wife Sophie & started ShadowBoxer in their dining room. From these humble beginnings, ShadowBoxer grew, but would take years, several prototypes, endless revisions & many, many sleepless nights before they held the first ShadowBoxer product in their hands.
All the sacrifices have been worth it. The ShadowBoxer products are a success - they do help people achieve a healthy, fit & active lifestyle. Today, Shadowboxer is growing week by week. It's making people all over the world feel great, look hot & enjoy life to the fullest.
